Project: BBC Boost TRNSMT Festival App

Role: UX/UI Designer, Concept to Delivery
Type: Mobile app design

Project Overview
BBC Boost is a mobile app concept developed in response to declining engagement with BBC content among 18–24 year olds. Using TRNSMT as a case study, the app brings live festival performances to audiences who could not attend in person, while aligning with the BBC’s public service values and accessibility standards.

The goal was to create a modern, personalised festival experience that feels live, social, and inclusive, beginning with accessibility preferences and onboarding that allow users to tailor the experience to their needs. I led the full design process from early concept and UX exploration through to high fidelity UI and interactive prototyping, with a strong focus on accessibility, real time interaction and personalisation.

Key features include multiview live streaming, personalised schedules and artist alerts, moderated live chat, smartwatch notifications for real time updates, and offline downloads to support flexible, on the go viewing.
